As the principal of East Brainerd Elementary, I am sincerely privileged to welcome you to another school year. Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to have you as part of our school community. 

My background in education has included working in private, charter, and public elementary schools, all focused on improving learning for children of all backgrounds. I started my career as a Bilingual 5th Grade Teacher in Chicago Public Schools and served in various leadership roles, including Principal in Memphis, TN, where I grew up. Now that I live in Hamilton County, I have found the schools to be a place of forward momentum, supportive communities, and where excellent education is a public right for every child.

This year promises to be filled with growth, discovery, and connection. At East Brainerd Elementary, our vision is that all children are empowered to achieve excellence as a community of lifelong learners who take ownership for their holistic development and mastery of a rigorous curriculum. Our mission is to teach the whole child by providing a challenging, focused, comprehensive, academic program in a nurturing environment. At East Brainerd, our teachers are experts in their content areas, the students are engaged and excited to be at school, and our parents are supportive and willing. What a tremendous community of learning!
